Do you think people can find their own kind of happiness in their own misery? Or rather what others perceive as misery. Maybe that cranky person is actually happy being a d-bag to everyone?
i think times of extreme happiness & sadness aren't all that different. in both instances, our ego is at the forefront of our consciousness.. depressed people tend to be quite self-involved. soooooo it seems to me that happiness and misery are kind of the same thing, at least in terms of how those emotions lead us to interact w, evaluate, and conceive of ourselves
